Welcome to Ockbrook School

What we stand for

We value every child and treat each as an individual, focusing on their own personal needs.

We have been successfully educating children at Ockbrook since 1799. That’s some track record.

We are very much a community, with a happy, nurturing, family ethos. We pride ourselves in the care we provide for each individual child – academically, socially and emotionally.

We promote traditional values, whilst embracing modern developments. This enables us, along with the support of our parents, to prepare our children for the wider world.

Visit our beautiful countryside location

Our school is one of the region’s best kept secrets. We keep ourselves safely tucked away in the countryside in 16 acres of fields and mature woodland. It’s the perfect setting for our fantastic, interactive outdoor learning activities, giving your child the chance to learn indoors and outside. Plus our small class sizes mean there’s lots of room in which to learn safely.

This Wednesday our Scholars attended an online workshop on 'Employability Skills' organised by InvestIN. The workshop showed students what skills employers are looking for, how to develop these skills and how the global workplace is changing.

Our scholars' programme runs a wide variety of events across the year, including more specialist sessions catering for individual pupil interests. Here is some feedback from one pupil -

"Thank you for arranging the amazing opportunity of attending the InvestIN Future Doctor Programme, which I did this weekend, as part of the Scholarship Programme. The programme has inspired me, and I applied to take part in a week-long, residential Oxford University Medical course during the summer holidays, which included me having to write a Personal Statement. I found out yesterday that my application had been successful."

There will be more information available about scholarships as part of our online open morning on the 6th March, bit.ly/3dAZ8iI
